As web communities continue to evolve, much of the emphasis is on sharing information and creating personal relationships. Participating in a community makes the time spent there more fun and rewarding for everyone.
A successful community serves a clear purpose by fulfilling a tangible need in the lives of its members. It contributes to its members' overall experience and at the same time meets the fundamental goals of its owners. There are special challenges and opportunities that arise when dealing with a fast-growing online community.
The communities are best reflected in the social networks which continue growing in various directions - shared information, shared opinions and of course in the gaming.
Playing online games is no longer a solitary affair between the member and the computer. It is as much about interaction with other online enthusiasts as it is about the games themselves.
Community games are first and foremost a place for people to gather and to express themselves passionately. People play because they want to be listened to. Before defining the community aspects of the games, we should understand the correlation between them, and the advantage of each of them:
• Community Games - Multi Player Games where the excitement of the game depends on the number of players, their
participation and excitement.
• Games Community - Communities for gamers that allow them to discuss similar topics, share information, chat and
communicate with each other and be involved in each other lives.
In general, the communities are being formed by groups of people who share the same passion or interest. Gaming communities often form around a specific game.
Based on the above we can deduce that community games should focus on multi players games, where members share the same passions or interests and where the motivation to play is the ability to communicate with other members.
